How to Use

Remoteness Layer

This layer displays remoteness on a color scale, green being least remote and red being most remote. It's a useful layer for those of you looking for the most remote places for an extreme adventure. It also provides a great bird's eye view to help determine what zone you want to focus on getting a tag in. For example, if you're looking for a zone to take horses into and avoid crowds, look for areas with lots of red. If you're backpacking in, look for areas with smaller areas of yellow and red. If you're planning to day hunt, look for areas with green and yellow.

This is a KMZ file and will upload into Google Earth Pro. It will not upload into hunting apps.

Hunt Zones Layer

This layer displays Idaho Hunt Zone boundaries. It can be imported into Google Earth Pro to use in conjunction with the Remoteness Layer.

Hunt Units Layer
This layer displays Idaho Hunt Unit boundaries. It can be imported into Google Earth Pro to use in conjunction with the Remoteness Layer.
