Download and save files onto your computer wherever you want for easy access. I recommend creating a folder for organization.

Google Earth Pro

  1. Download Google Earth Pro onto your computer. This is not the same as the Google Earth web version.
  2. Double click the desired file to open in Google Earth Pro. There is no max upload file size, all files will import into Google Earth Pro.
  3. The file will open as a layer under "Temporary Places".
  4. Click and hold to grab the file and move it into the "My Places" folder.
  5. Name and save your project often. All files left in "Temporary Places" will dissapear once you close out the program.
  6. To edit the appearance of the entire layer, right click on the layer, select "Properties" in the drop down, click the "Style, Color" tab and select your color scheme and transparency.
  7. To edit the appearance of an individual polygon within the layer, right click on the desired polygon on the map and follow the same procedure.
  8. To edit the appareance of the Remoteness layer, click the arrow next to the layer to expand it, then right click on the Remoteness layer that drops down. Next, click properties and use the "Transparency" slider to adjust.
  9. Any appearance edits you make in Google Earth Pro will not transfer when importing into the hunting map apps.
